Frequently Asked QuestionsWhat is TheJobPost?
TheJobPost is an innovative and secure online recruitment marketplace that brings together employers and recruiters in a unique way which is a win-win for both parties. Employers have access to a pre-screened network of specialist recruiters enabling them to fill vacancies fast whilst the recruiters receive a constant flow of new business opportunities – and more importantly a new revenue stream without the need for cold calling or business development.
What types of vacancies are posted on TheJobPost?
TheJobPost welcomes employer representation from all market sectors where they have professional staffing requirements with salaries in excess of £30,000.
The employers that use TheJobPost include start-ups through to SME, FTSE companies and multi-nationals. As we operate an open marketplace covering employers from all market sectors with multi-disciplinary professional staffing needs, we are confident you will find a vacancy to suit your location and field of expertise. Typical fees a recruiter will generate will range between a minimum of £4,500 and £14,500 (and can go much higher!). How much does it cost to use TheJobPost?
TheJobPost charges you a small fee upfront (between £25 to £400), which grants you access to submit your CVs to the employer through TheJobPost system.
Before committing to the payment of the access charge, you will have full details on the vacancy (with the exception of the employer’s name). Naturally, you will only purchase those vacancies where you believe that your candidates have a high probability of being offered the role. The level of the charge is determined by two factors: the degree of exclusivity that you choose and the minimum salary on offer. There are no other charges due to TheJobPost. For successful placements through TheJobPost, you will retain your FULL FEE, less a small contribution to our nominated charity, The Shaw Trust. Please refer to tariff card for more detail on job pricing. Why should I use TheJobPost
TheJobPost marketplace gives you immediate access to more companies than you have the time or logistical ability to engage. Recruiters find that they make more money using TheJobPost because they can spend their time more productively - primarily searching for and briefing candidates on genuine opportunities and making more placements - instead of cold calling, negotiating contracts, pitching or tendering for inclusion on preferred supplier lists or collecting fees.
How many recruiters will I be competing with?
The purpose of TheJobPost system is to match employers with the best recruiters in their market and create a partnership approach whereby success breeds success within a self-selecting environment.
When posting a new vacancy, the employer is challenged to provide a full and detailed job description and person specification to enable potential recruiters to make a purchasing decision as to whether they wish to submit candidates or not. During the first 5 working days of a vacancy being posted there is an opportunity for 3 recruiters to work on filling the role; During the next 5 working days, up to 3 more recruiters can elect to work on the role. After this 10 working day period, the employer is invited to determine whether they still wish to receive applications. In the event that they do, then the vacancy is opened up to more recruiters who may wish to purchase access to the role. How does the submission process work?
In the early stages of posting a vacancy, an employer’s contact information will not be disclosed to recruiters on the TheJobPost marketplace.
The point at which the employer organisation will be identified to you is as follows:
It’s then up to you to develop this in to a strong and long-term working relationship! How are fees paid?
After you make a confirmed placement, TheJobPost issues an invoice (on the start date of the new employee) to the employer for the full placement fee contractually agreed. The invoice is payable within 14 days. We collect the fee from the employer which is then released to you in line with the as outlined in our terms and conditions.
How is the charitable contribution to the Shaw Trust calculated?
For each successful placement you make, £100 + £20 for every percentage point that the fee is set at above (15%) is retained by TheJobPost and donated to the Shaw Trust on your behalf.
e.g. you place a candidate on £50,000 @ 20%, you will receive £9,800 (£10,000 - £200). Your donation to The Shaw Trust will be deducted from your first payment 5 weeks after the start date. What is the rebate schedule and how does it work?
In the unlikely event that your new placement does not work out in the first 10 weeks, TheJobPost will issue a rebate on a proportional basis depending on the period served by the candidate. After 10 weeks no rebate is applicable.
In order for an Employer to qualify for a rebate, the following conditions must have been met:
What happens if an employer is a late payer or refuses to pay the fee?
TheJobPost carries out credit checks on each employer at registration stage – and of course, we take all reasonable steps to ensure the integrity of the jobs that are posted on the system.
As per our terms and conditions, we will only pay a fee when we have secured the funds from an employer and in line with the rebate schedule. In the event that an employer does not pay on time or refuses to pay, our credit control team will pursue the matter rigorously, which may include taking legal action in order to secure the funds on your behalf. How long does it take for my application to be reviewed and accepted?
Applications to join our network as a registered recruitment consultancy are reviewed daily and we have a team who can research your business and confirm your registration within hours.
Can we have multiple recruiters accessing the system?
TheJobPost understands that many recruiters will require multiple user access to the system.
Our recruiter administration section enables you:
Who 'owns' candidates that have been submitted?
The recruitment consultancy that has fully qualified and submitted the candidate to TheJobPost owns that candidate for a period of six months from the date of submission. If the employer recruits this candidate within the initial six-month period, the employer pays the consultancy the fee that was originally posted, as per our terms and conditions.
What if the employer already has my candidate registered on their own database?
If the employer is able to prove without doubt that the same candidate was registered on their database in the six months preceding your submission through the TheJobPost then the employer retains candidate ownership and no fee is payable for the candidate.
What happens if multiple recruiters submit the same candidate?
It is not uncommon for candidates to be represented by more than one recruiter. However our applicant tracking system is designed to block duplication on CVs submitted so this situation should not arise.
All candidate submissions are time and date stamped by TheJobPost. The first recruiter to submit a candidate to a specific skill request is credited as the representative of that candidate. TheJobPost does not condone submissions of candidates whose interest in a particular position has not been confirmed by the recruiter and will disqualify such submissions and retains the right to ban those recruiters from the site. When a recruiter has submitted a specific candidate to a job profile, made a successful match to a vacancy and introduced the employer to the candidate with contact details or through an interview, the recruiter retains the rights to that candidate specifically with the employer in question for 6 months from the date of submission. Subsequent submissions from other recruiters using the same candidate through TheJobPost are disqualified. When arbitrating in this regard TheJobPost reserves the right to make the final decision, as set out in our terms and conditions. Will TheJobPost help me find candidates?
TheJobPost is a business-to-business platform, and as a value added service and an excellent source of candidate attraction for we allow candidates that access our site the opportunity to browse recruiters and upload their CV’s directly to you. These will typically be candidates looking for a professional-level role, however a recruiter can only receive CV’s directly if they have an Enhanced or Super Enhanced Directory Listing.
How do you protect the confidentiality of my candidates?
TheJobPost takes data privacy and security very seriously. All candidates submitted through TheJobPost are done so over encrypted SSL data entry pages. Additionally, TheJobPost retains all data in secured, decentralized, encrypted and secure servers behind a corporate firewall. TheJobPost will not share personal data or any data submitted through the marketplace with anyone other than the intended audience. For more information on data privacy or security, please feel free to review our Privacy Policy.
What if I already have an existing relationship with the employer?
If a recruiter has an existing relationship with an employer, they can continue to work in their traditional way or they can work through TheJobPost, using our Terms of Use.
